Stackable ESD-Safe AMD CPU Holder Tray | AM5, AM4, AM3/+, FM2/+ | 6 CPUs Each | MADE BY GN
We needed more CPU trays for all of the CPUs we benchmark at GamersNexus, so we designed and 3D printed our own. These AMD CPU trays use a high-end, ESD-safe plastic filament (PETG-ESD) that we have validated, as opposed to the more commonly used insulating plastic material. We have tested the trays for surface resistance and found them to perform within the ESD Static Dissipative specification. Each CPU tray fits 6 AMD CPUs of the 40 × 40 mm package sizing (FM2, FM2+, AM3, AM3+, AM4, AM5, etc.) and is stackable with other GN AMD CPU Trays. There are two central columns that we designed to socket into the upper recession in the bottom of the CPU tray, allowing them to nest loosely. We made it a somewhat loose fit so that they aren’t too difficult to pull apart when filled with CPUs. The trays were designed with access in mind, having dips in the walls to allow better access to remove CPUs without fumbling them.
We are selling the CPU trays in packs of multiples.
The GN CPU Holder Tray for AMD CPUs is made in-house, in our office in North Carolina, by our usual GN testing & video team. The ESD CPU trays are picked and packed by our local warehouse team after printing. We use 3D printers internally rather than injection molding. This means that you will see 3D print layer lines in the product and that there is more variance unit-to-unit than injection molding, but that it is made only by our team to support us as directly as possible.
These are designed with the intent to help organize CPU storage of loose, old, or troubleshooting CPUs for those who have been in PC building for a long time. Since AMD’s package size hasn’t changed much, we can support decades of CPUs in one tray.
Specs:
Compatible with FM2, FM2+, AM3, AM3+, AM4, AM5, and any other AMD package using the same size (approx 40 × 40 mm)
CPUs per tray: 6
CPU tray dimensions (per tray): ~154 mm x ~104 mm x 11 mm
Color: Black, slight gloss from ESD filament. Bottom will have some off-white residue from the glue used to secure the tray during printing. To keep price down as low as we can, we do not clean the bottom. This can be safely cleaned off with rubbing alcohol or soap & water or left alone, as it does not touch the CPUs.
Stackable (central towers socket into upper recession)
ESD Type: Static Dissipative.
Surface Resistance: Dissipative. Approximately 3.00-3.50 × 10^05 Ω (± testing variance)
7-Year Warranty. If the product develops any workmanship defects or if you accidentally break/snap a piece of it, email our support@gamersnexus.net account and we’ll get it swapped as long as you send a photo of the damage and it is beyond our acceptable threshold for defects. Does not cover scratches, dings, or minor divots. Covers broken-off pieces, fractures, discoloration, and peeling.
CPUs obviously not included. But maybe we could print some in the future…
