GN 'Inductor' Full Tabletop and D&D Premium Dice Set | 7-Piece Dice, Wooden Box, & Token Card

The GamersNexus ‘Inductor’ Dice Set uniquely embeds e-waste inductors within resin sharp-edge dice to create a uniquely electronics-themed tabletop gaming and D&D Premium Dice Set. The dice are tinted with a blue hue and use a carefully selected copper color text to match the bright, coil copper wire around the interior inductor. Included with each dice set is a wooden box, featuring an engraved ‘Alchemy’ logo (with electronics and PC component symbols for the ‘runes’). We use natural wood for the box, leading to beautiful variation in color based on the natural tones and grains in the wood. The dice box was designed in CAD and splits into three components: (1) The top lid, which can flip to become a fabric-lined dice roll tray, (2) the inner hexagon to secure the dice in transit, and (3) the lower foam-padded base to hold the dice. The box includes two latches and several magnets to hold everything secure in transit. Unique to the Inductor set, we’ve also included a Foil Token Card with a custom-made 3D modeled ‘Cyberpunk Goblin,’ wearing inductor coils as bracelets and including our own flavor text and art. Goblins aren’t particularly smart, but they are innovative: This one, found transported to the future, has discovered that forks in outlets may not be safe, but are good weapons against other enemies. We applied the foil to the inductor bracelets and electricity found in the scene.
Many of us on GN staff have experience playing games like MTG (Magic), Dungeons & Dragons (and derivatives), Warhammer, War Machine, and other tabletop games, so we brought this experience to dice and combined it with our PC building background.
These dice were created over a period of nearly a year and have been tested for probability distribution and randomness (found within usual variance of common casual play dice on the market). The higher-quality sharp edge nature of the dice, rather than a much cheaper tumbled rounded edge, helps with randomness and gives a higher quality feel. The dice are slightly larger than average (in our experience) to accommodate larger inductors.

The boxes for our dice sets are made from natural wood. Because of this, there will be variations in color tones, patterns, grain, and imperfections. In addition, natural wood expands and contracts, which may cause the lid and base to have some gaps or slight wobble. This is expected, and considered within a normal and acceptable variance given the material used. With changes in temperature and humidity, natural wood settles and the box fit may change over time.
Integrated Roll Tray
The GN Inductor and Snowflake dice sets both include an integrated, fabric-lined roll tray. The two latches on the box can be released, allowing the lid to be removed and flipped. If working with cramped table space, these trays help keep dice contained to your play area. The inner lining helps protect the dice and the tray from each other.
3-Piece Box
Our custom-made box includes three separable pieces: The roll tray lid, the intermediary layer to secure the dice (which removes to provide easier access to the dice), and the base tray that supports the dice. The base tray is lined with foam inserts and the intermediary wooden layer also includes foam topper inserts to secure the dice.
Reusing E-Waste
Our ‘Inductor’ model of dice set includes one of the most common electrical components in the world: Inductors, which are found in voltage regulator modules on computer motherboards and most other electronics. The factory informed us that it mismanufactured these for another client, so we sourced them to integrate into the dice.
Premium Dice for D&D, Magic, Warhammer, & Tabletop Games
Despite being a PC hardware & PC gaming media outlet, several members of our team have decades-long histories of playing tabletop RPGs, tabletop wargames, trading and collectible card games, and various other famous deck building and tile-based games. Because the 7-piece set includes one of each primary die type, you’ll find a use in a variety of tabletop games. Our team has played various settings ranging from obscure (like Savage Worlds) to famous (like D20, D&D 3.5, 4e, and 5e). Some favorite settings of the team include DragonLance, Forgotten Realms (home to the famed Baldur’s Gate), and custom-made settings by our players.

The dice are tinted with a light blue hue and use a white font, with the D6 (6-sided die) featuring 6 paw prints for the ‘6’ result. The GamersNexus ‘Flux’ Project & Soldering mat was custom-designed as an easily cleaned, extremely heat resistant surface for projects ranging from component soldering and board repair to model building and bike or car part cleaning & maintenance. The Project & Soldering Mat is a 32” x 16” surface — on the larger side for a soldering mat — made of silicone.
