GamersNexus Medium Anti-Static Modmat (32" x 16") - GPU Tear-Down
GamersNexus Medium Anti-Static Modmat (32" x 16") - GPU Tear-Down
IN STOCK & SHIPPING.
The GamersNexus Medium Modmat with GPU Tear-Down design was built ground-up by our team, expanding on top of our experience with the critically acclaimed GN Large Modmat. The Medium Modmat is 32” x 16” (~81cm x 41cm) for easy fitment on work surfaces and made of the same high-quality, ultra-durable material as our large modmats. The design now features GPU hole spacing diagrams, PCIe wiring layout (for easy shunt mods), a video card component name table to identify MOSFETs, inductors, and more, and a tear-down grid for screw tracking during disassembly. The Modmat is not intended for use as a mousing surface or as an active test bench and is most at home as a build surface. The nature of an anti-static conductive mat means that it should be used with components in an off state while building or assembling (isolate components under test from the mat, as it is anti-static conductive).
The Modmat uses anti-static, rubberized material that stays in place and protects your components from electro-static discharge with its included common ground point and anti-static wrist strap. The tear-down grid now has two silhouettes, making it easy to work on highly complex cards when dealing with high screw counts in GPUs. Use the Medium Modmat to protect your work surface and your components, along with its anti-slip texture to help keep screws in place. The modmat is not intended for use as a mousing surface. You can find the manual here.

GPU Tear-Down Grid
The GamersNexus Medium Modmat has two video card silhouettes for easy tracking of disassembled parts, especially as cards grow increasingly complex. With the silhouettes facing each way, it’s easy to track internal and external video card screws so that you don’t end up with any “extras.” The grid is accompanied by a ruler for rough measurements on water cooling tube cuts, aftermarket coolers, and PCB sizing. The grid acts as a screw sorter for any kind of disassembly — not just video cards — and keeps things organized for re-assembly.
GPU Block Diagram & Parts Labels
The GN Medium Modmat’s video card block diagram shows where the MOSFETs, inductors, capacitors, and memory modules are, helping bring new PC builders up to speed on component names and locations. The naming diagram also assists with water cooling efforts, helping show where thermal pads are often required for water blocks and baseplates. This is the same diagram that’s in our GPU tear-down poster on the store.
Common Ground + ESD Strap
The GamersNexus Medium Modmat includes a free male common ground point (10mm stud, 6' cable) with two receptacles for banana plugs, compatible with our included anti-static wrist strap. Static electricity will be grounded through the wrist strap, dispersed through the inner layer of the mat, and grounded to the wall through the common ground point. The mat-side uses a female 10mm snap.
Anti-Static Mats for PC Building
The mat includes a ground point (10mm female snap) that connects with our included common ground point, ensuring all static-electricity has a direct path to ground from you and the Anti-Static Mat.
Our Modmat uses high-quality materials that ensure a strong grip on the components and the surface, while also protecting the underlying table. The Modmat is built to endure multiple system builds and PC DIY projects, and is a product we built first for ourselves: We have been using GN Modmats in our lab every day for over a year.
