Hey everyone, Thanks so much for supporting our AI GPU Black Market movie! It has been a wild couple of weeks. We expected to run into some kind of problem from publishing it, but Bloomberg was a real wildcard. The good news is that right now is the most excited I've ever been for all the new stuff we're learning. There is a lot of cool technology going into some of the Stretch Goals now, including the USB drives but also the Threadripper editing machine builds and benchmarks. Super excited for all of this to hit the web. You're getting this email because we're sending out updates on timelines for all the digital rewards. We've been really excited to work on this stuff since we hit the extra goals to produce USB drives for everyone who ordered (that includes everyone who ordered and is receiving this email). TLDR:- Order volume is higher than we have ever experienced in the history of GN and the store. As a result, we are very backed-up but working hard to move through orders! - Everyone gets a 128GB USB drive with the movie and other digital files on it - In the interim, you'll get links late next week via email with unlisted videos for the bonus tier backer rewards. This will be in addition to the USB drive containing them (going out later as I need to personally make them all) - In that same email late next week, you will get a link to the backer wallpaper pack - KINGPIN tier backers will get a separate email later this week with invite/calendar options of some kind to book your Q&A sessions - USB devices will ship with your physical items as those go out. The team is prepping kits now and will be busy shipping through November due to volume. If you ordered before we updated our pages to state the new timeframe, then you will get your items in wave 1 - If you would like to know what wave you are in, you can reference your order confirmation email. Those were updated to contain the wave numbers. Currently, there are only 2 waves. More Detailed Updates:- Because we hit our Stretch Goal (enough people ordered) to add USB drives, every one of you will be receiving a 128GB USB drive with a copy of the Black Market movie and all digital assets on it. These are Micro Center brand drives. We basically bought out their US stock. Heads-up: They are not very fast, but we basically bought the largest capacity thing we could find in a quantity of thousands already in the US. It's 128GB and didn't cost extra for backers since it was a stretch goal. Worst case scenario, use it for a bootloader or something after you pull the files to your local systems - The shipping team has been busy kitting all of the various tiers to prep them for shipment. You will get shipping notification emails as those go out. They will go out in waves. If anyone needs hands-on assistance (such as address changes or verification), you can email support@gamersnexus.net. - We are filming all remaining backer bonus videos in the next 4 days - We have finalized almost all of the bonus wallpaper packs. Andrew made a super cool Cyberpunk x Hong Kong-themed 3D environment in Blender for one of them - We will be sending out unlisted video links to the bonus videos sometime late next week. These will also be written to USB devices for you, so you'll have a high-quality render that physically ships to you but also earlier access via YouTube unlisted videos - I just got in a professional USB Duplicator to create copies of the movie and bonus videos onto THOUSANDS of 128GB USB drives. We will film a public video about this as well since technologically, it's just super cool and I'm excited to learn about new technology KINGPIN Tier Updates:- KINGPIN Tier backers will receive a separate email later this week with some sort of calendar booking website. I'm still finalizing which one we're using. We want to maximize everyone's chance to participate in the smaller group Q&A sessions, so to offer as many times and days as possible, we're going to use an online registration service of some kind so that you can choose your own time slot (as long as it's not a full one). We want to make sure everyone has multiple options in case you're in a different time zone. - KINGPIN Tier backers will be receiving the Canvas Print ahead of the other items. It will ship separately (due to its size), so that means you will get one shipment with the canvas and one with all the other items. If your canvas shows up without the other items, that is normal and we will be working on shipping the other items ASAP. Additional Stretch Updates:- We have some strong leads with people closer to (or in) government positions for possible interviews about the AI Black Market GPU topic - We're already spec-ing out and building the first Threadripper system listed in our stretch goals, which will be a public video with unique benchmarks rendering the movie - We have already delivered on the GPU export control timeline article. It's on the website. - Jimmy is working on converting the movie itself into a full feature text article now. He'll probably be busy on this for another couple weeks, as it's a big undertaking Finally, assuming Bloomberg doesn't file a frivolous lawsuit in the next few days, YouTube should be releasing our video to the public again either on Friday or next Monday, plus or minus a day or two. It's not fully clear to us, but that's how the math would work out. Thank you again for supporting us during this.
